Your account

You must provide accurate account information, protect your sign-in methods, and use Riffsticks lawfully. You are responsible for activity under your account and for confirming that collection records are accurate.

Your content

You retain ownership of the photos, descriptions, notes, and collection records you submit, and you must have the right to submit them. You grant Riffsticks a limited license to validate, resize, store, process, and display that content solely to operate the service. Uploaded gear photos are kept in private object storage and returned only through an owner-authorized request. Riffsticks is not a permanent backup service, so keep your originals. Marketplace reference images remain provider-hosted and subject to their source terms.

Market information

Every estimate should be read with its source label, range, confidence, and date. Marketplace data may be delayed, incomplete, withdrawn, or subject to provider terms. We will not knowingly relabel active asking prices as completed sales or use a provider for unauthorized valuation analytics.

AI-assisted research

A model-history scan uses AI to research public sources and build a cautious estimate. It is not a licensed sales database or a professional appraisal. AI output and source material can be false, incomplete, misleading, or out of date, so check important decisions independently. Riffsticks labels retrospective estimates separately from values observed on their actual date and preserves visible gaps rather than filling them with invented prices.

Reports are built from the public gear descriptor—category, brand, model, variant, finish, year, condition, market, and currency. Riffsticks may retain and reuse the resulting model-level report for another collector with matching gear. Private photos, serial numbers, notes, nicknames, purchase details, and account identity are not part of that shared report.

Research credits and payments

Each metered account receives five new market scans per UTC calendar month. Unused monthly searches do not accumulate. A fresh shared report may be returned without using a monthly search or credit. Once Claude starts provider work, one monthly search or extra credit funds the full scan, even if the public evidence is too thin to publish a curve. Automatic retries for that scan are included. A request stopped before provider work begins releases its reservation. Selected accounts may receive all-access research, still subject to availability, abuse prevention, provider, and spend limits.

Riffsticks credits unlock additional Riffsticks research features; they are not Anthropic, Claude, API, crypto, or monetary tokens. Purchased and grandfathered launch credits are used only after the monthly searches, are non-transferable, have no cash value, and do not expire under the current launch policy.

Top-ups are one-time purchases processed by Stripe. The checkout page shows the applicable price, currency, and tax treatment before payment. Refunds, reversals, and chargebacks may remove the related unused credits; if they have already been used, the balance may become negative and further research may pause. Nothing here limits refund or consumer rights that cannot legally be limited.

Acceptable use

• Do not scrape, reverse engineer, overwhelm, or bypass access controls.
• Do not submit unlawful, infringing, fraudulent, or malicious content.
• Do not use Riffsticks to misrepresent authenticity, provenance, ownership, or sale value.

Availability and liability

The service is provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We may change or discontinue features and cannot guarantee that every market source or estimate will remain available. Liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service during the twelve months before a claim, except where law does not permit that limitation.

Termination and contact

You may stop using Riffsticks at any time. We may suspend abusive or unlawful accounts. Questions about these terms can be sent to legal@riffsticks.com.
